PLANNED INCREASE IN THE EXPORT VOLUME OF STONE FRUIT IN 2024.

The first batches of stone fruit are already being harvested in the Spanish region of Murcia, where the campaign started on average ten days earlier than usual due to the summer temperatures and the lack of rainfall, depending on the region and variety.

Last year, the Region of Murcia exported around 130,000 tonnes of stone fruit, which is almost 20 percent of the total Spanish export volume. This year, the export volume is expected to be between 180,000 and 190,000 tonnes, mainly thanks to the recovery of the apricot harvest.

A record production of over 700,000 tonnes of stone fruit and table grapes is expected in the Region of Murcia in 2024.
